Hi everyone! My name is Nienke Cornelissen and I will be this year’s Chair of Urios! It is my honor to fulfill the position within the 41st Board.
As the Chair, my main task is to make sure everything is being steered in the right direction within Urios.
Also, I fulfill the position of contactperson: both for our members, the University of Utrecht, as for Urios’ partners. So if you find yourself having any questions, do not hesitate to contact me through firstname.lastname@example.org or swing by at one of our office hours!
This academic year I will be doing an Employment and Labour Law Master at the University of Amsterdam. Given my desire to work at an international labor law firm in the future, I do really value the opportunity to combine my Masters with a Board year at Urios. This to expand my experience in International and European law.
Stay tuned and keep an close eye on our socials for the upcoming events. I hope to see you at our events!

Hi! My name is Michelle Ernstsen and I am really excited to announce that I will be Urios’ 41st Activities Commissioner. I am 21 years old and I am currently following the master programme Public International Law with the Human Rights specialisation.
As the Activities Commissioner I want to make sure that all students feel at home in the Netherlands by planning activities that will encourage members to meet new people and will help them to get to know the city better. Next to the social activities, there will also be a chance to get a taste of the international and European law community from a more practical perspective. Our formal activities will be a perfect opportunity to meet professionals in the field and visit several legal institutions.Read more..
It is also my goal to enrich everyone’s cultural background by organising trips both within and outside of Europe. With the chance that travelling will become more accessible the coming year, I am looking forward to choosing the most exciting destinations for our trips.
Feel free to contact me through email@example.com if you have any questions regarding the activities and trips of the upcoming year. See you soon!

Hi! My name is Laura Zalme, and I am in my third and last year of the Bachelor of Law. I am very interested in world politics, to be specific to the United Nations. Therefore it is an honor to be the MUN Commissioner this year.
One of my responsibilities this year is organizing the annual Model United Nations of Urios, also known as URUMUN. Model United Nations is an educational simulation where participants (also known as delegates) will represent a UN country and tackle global problems with one another. I will also organize a UN trip, where we go to other countries to participate in other Model United Nations.Read more..
I have organized URUMUN before as a committee member of the MUN committee of Urios. Organizing this event was a valuable experience. I got to meet people from all over the world and with many different backgrounds. Therefore, I am excited to meet more from all different backgrounds and learn from their political point of view.
Hi everyone! My name is Natalie Borcea and I will be fulfilling the role of Symposium Commissioner on the 41st board of URIOS. I am 21 years old and currently in my fourth and last year of the double bachelors degree in Liberal Arts & Sciences and (Dutch) law. My major at Liberal Arts & Sciences is in law, economics and politics and since the start of my law classes, I found a particular interest for international and European law.
As the symposium commissioner, it is my role to organise the lectures and symposia of this academic year, together with my symposium committee. I am very excited to find great speakers for these events, to come up with interesting themes and overall to make sure that these events run smoothly. My goal for this year is to have some multi-disciplinary topics and to engage in interesting Q&A’s and discussions at the end of the lectures or symposia as well.
Stay tuned for all of these lectures and symposia, and feel free to contact me with any questions (or suggestions!) that you might have!
